Does what the $2500 3D printers do for 1/2 the cost. Worth the investment, skip the $500 models and upgrade if you are serious. This will be the 5th 3D printer I have owed, or attempted to own, in the past year. And, judging from everything I have seen so far in the last 2 weeks, this will be the company I stick with in the future. I started out with a build-your-own that was almost comical in its quality (but it was $100, so it was a good educational experience). I then went onto a $300 kickstarter model from M3D that – sorry to say – left a very bad taste in my mouth after less than a month of printing. Nothing would adhere to the bad anymore and the company’s support structure was a joke. Their answer? Wait for the next model. I gave it away to a school group for them to use as a project to see if they could fix it up and get it working better. I then bought a DaVinvi Jr. model….and then a second one when the first one clogged and would not unclog less than 2 weeks into light printing. Their customer service? Two weeks after I returned it to Amazon and got the second one contacted me and told me to try…
Despite other rave reviews, I’m not happy so far *UPDATED* Received the printer in good condition, very well packaged. I set it up, installed the cartridge and printed on or the test parts which came out ok. I went for the big guns and attempted to print an Eiffel tower model to test the accuracy. I set it up and made sure it was printing ok and went to bed as it was an almost 7 hour print job. I woke to find a partial print and rats nest of PLA. Ok, perhaps that was ambitious so I attempted to print the spinner project that’s in the printer. Went to have breakfast and came back to another partial ok print and rats nest. (see images) I have not modified anything on the printer settings. When I pressed the tabs to remove the build plate, the left one broke off. The right one is so flimsy that I doubt it would hold the table correctly. So, I’m waiting for a response to my email to support and can’t print a thing, so far.***UPDATE ***There was something seriously wring with the first printer I received. I returned to Amazon on…
Sindoh Printer: 2 years later, still having fun (with a few caveats) See Impportant Updates at End:I was worried and somewhat skeptical about this product. Where are the reviews? Are the reviews here as good as in PCMag, etc? Is it usable by a complete newbie, someone who’s never 3D printed anything? Not being certain as to the answers to these questions, I spent a lot of time looking up information on Sindoh and it’s history. I think that, the price, and the reviews here are what sealed the deal. Still, I was worried.Remember: I’ve never done 1 3D print. I’ve never had a 3D printer. In fact, I’ve never been around a 3D printer. When the package was delivered at about 6:30pm one Saturday a couple months ago, I was duly impressed by the packaging. The printer was sealed up like Fort Knox: solid and well-protected. The hardest part of the set-up truly was clearing space on my desk. This is a large device! Once space was cleared, I was printing in a half-hour. And, that was taking time to read…
